Alcoholic Appears on International Magazine Cover
"The Alcoholic", a Nathan McClain original painting, will be featured on the cover of Hablemos magazine's December 2005 issue.  The Hablemos (loosely translated means "Let's Talk") is an international publication produced by the Sedronar, an Argentina State Department agency, and has a readership of over ten thousand Argentineans that includes public agents, ambassadors, doctors, journalists, and scientists.   The Sedronar fights narcotraffic and helps Argentineans overcome alcoholism as well as other similar addictions.  The Sedronar discovered the Nathan McClain Gallery during an online image search and specifically requested to use "The Alcoholic" for the upcoming Hablemos cover.  After researching the legitimacy of the Sedronar, the Nathan McClain Gallery was honored to fulfill their request.  Having one of McClain's paintings appear on an international magazine cover is a significant accomplishment and kinda mind-blowing at the same time.

In Search of Ozzie
A huge painting of Ozzie Smith performing his trademark backflip is missing (location unknown - not stolen).  In 1996, Nathan McClain was commissioned to create a 9 feet x 7 feet painting of Ozzie Smith performing his trademark backflip in front of the St. Louis Arch.  The painting was auctioned off at an Ozzie Smith Retirement event held at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri on September 28, 1996.  The proceeds of the auction went to the Jackie Joyner-Kersee Foundation.  The Nathan McClain Gallery would like to connect with the owner of this painting and catalogue its location.  The Gallery was informed that someone from Jefferson City, Missouri may own the painting which prompted this recent article; however, the actual location of the painting has yet to be identified.  If anyone has ANY information about this painting please contact us.  The only known photo of this painting is located here.
