Jammin with Eric Clapton is an original portrait Nate painted as a Christmas gift from the Granite City High School student council to their teacher Mr. Hamilton who was an Eric Clapton fan.  The back of the painting was signed by the student council from 1990 - 1991.  Nate was 17 years old when he created this artwork while attending Granite City High School in Granite City, Illinois.

Work in progress version

​In 2017, the painting sustained damage during shipment for the “Painting The Town” 20th Anniversary Memorial art exhibit.  Nate’s former High School art teacher was contacted and able to restore the painting.  Below are the damaged and repaired versions.
