The Pirates is an artistic interpretation of a 1987 Miller Lite beer ad featuring Joe Piscopo as a wrestling character "Python" Piscopo. This was for a High School project so Nate removed the Beer labels from the bottles and named this painting The Pirates.  Nate was 15 years old when he created this artwork while attending Granite City High School in Granite City, Illinois.

I remember many nights staring blankly at this painting which used to hang on our wall above the couch.
