Wrigley Field (1988) by Nate McClain
Nate McClain (American, 1973 - 1997)
Wrigley Field, 1988
Watercolor
Wrigley Field is a painting that commemorates the first ever official night game played in 1988 at Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. Wrigley Field became the last ballpark to get lights as the Cubs previously played all day games there since 1916.  Nate's maternal Grandparents, Eva & Willis Shepard, were huge Cubs fans as well as other Shepard family members.  Nate was 15 years old when he created this artwork.

The owner of Nate's painting remains unknown.  Please contact us if you have any information on the location.

I was nates school mate. I miss him terribly, in my mind we were best friends. I helped him make the wood portfolio case. I think about my friend daily. Thanks to you who remember and promote. He is with me in my heart, I wish I could see him now.
